Abstract: Linear complexity is an important property for' secure keystream sequences. In this paper, we study binary sequences generated by nonlinear filters on 'n-sequences with the method of Discrete Fourier transform (DFT). We focus on the certain class of equidistant filters and give an improved lower bound on the linear complexity of the filtered sequences.
