English AbstractWith the more and more applications of MANET ("mobile ad-hoc networks") in civil and military field, it faced so many new problems in security field. Authentication service is the foundation of security Mobile Ad hoc Networks, mobile users can transfer data securely each other with certificate service. Because MANET has no centralized control, and wired network's centralized or hierarchy authentication don't fit MANET. We consider the use of threshold signatures in MANET. While none of the known threshold RSA signature schemes seems practical enough for realistic use in these highly-constrained environments. We propose a new distributed authentication scheme in MANET. The novelty of the scheme we proposed is in that it easily and efficiently enables dynamic increase of the threshold, according to the needs of the group, so that the service provides both adaptability and availability. The resultant schemes add the capability of incorporating new members to the group of potential signers without relying on central authorities. Namely, any threshold of existing members can cooperate to add a new member. Finally, we discuss the application of the scheme with dynamic distributed CA services in MANET. © 2013 Binary Information Press.; With the more and more applications of MANET ("mobile ad-hoc networks") in civil and military field, it faced so many new problems in security field.
