AbstractThe real - time simulation of ocean surface and ship wakes need for high level reality and real - time visualization. It is hard to give attention to both points and gain excellent performance. Aiming at these special characteristics,a CUDA based parallel approach has been put forward. The ocean surface and ship wakes simulation were implemented by an integrate method of real grids and virtual particles. All of the core computing and rendering work were executed in GPU in parallel mode. The result shows that this approach performs well and can improve the efficiency greatly.
