English AbstractSoftware on the Internet needs consideration of the underlying network environment with the network changes at runtime detected in time and the configurations then adjusted adaptively. The network-related parameters are changing and uncertain, while the users' QoS requirements also show the characteristics of fuzziness. A method for modeling and assessing network context was introduced based on cloud model, with the software dynamic re-configuration mechanism then analyzed using the method. In the mechanism, the network context, the system response time, and users' QoS requirements are synthesized as the input with the knowledge table established using the fuzzy control theory to realize the dynamic configuration with adaptability at a group level. Experiments show that the mechanism is helpful in handling the issues about Internet software dynamic configuration, including the uncertainty of network contextual parameters, the fuzziness of user requirements and configuration thrashing.; Software on the Internet needs consideration of the underlying network environment with the network changes at runtime detected in time and the configurations then adjusted adaptively.
