English AbstractIn recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become increasingly important and is changing the way how people live and work. IoT has a lot of benefits and meanwhile, it also brings about great challenges to the data management community. In this paper, we first analyze the challenges in IoT data management, and then propose a novel Sea-Cloudbased massive heterogeneous sensor Data Management ("SeaCloudDM") framework in order to meet these challenges. The experimental results show that SeaCloudDM provides satisfactory query processing performances for massive sensor sampling data. © 2011 IEEE.; In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become increasingly important and is changing the way how people live and work.
