| English Abstract | The existing group key management schemes are not efficient in providing security for satellite multi-group communication. To solve this problem, we propose a new scheme. In the scheme, subgroups are established according to the users' access ability. Key management graph is constructed. Compared with other schemes, our scheme reduces the storage and communication overhead of the satellite. It fulfils forward and backward security and provides significant performance gain. At last, simulations are performed for 3 different scenarios. The results show that our scheme reduces the bandwidth consumption of the satellite in rekeying. As a result, our scheme is suitable for providing security for satellite multi-group communication with a large number of dynamic users. © 2013 IEEE.; The existing group key management schemes are not efficient in providing security for satellite multi-group communication.
