试验性汉英机器翻译系统WINCE的设计与实现

English Abstract汉英机器翻译的主要困难在于汉语自动分词,汉语的形式化模型的建立,分析方法的确定以及英文译文生成等几个方面。本文在简单介绍了机器翻译的发展历史和汉英机器翻译的现状之后,对有关汉英机器翻译系统WINCE的环境,设计,语言支持及实现技术等内容进行了全面论述,CGDL是WINCE系统使用的关于汉语的一种形式化描述,它是一种增强型的上下文无关文法,通过条件判定,语义检查,属性传递转换式等功能使该文法理论具有一些词汇相关及上下文相关的分析能力。对分词问题,WINCE采用枚举控制结合语法检查的方法,使之和原文分析同时开始,同时结束,具有较高的准确率,WINCE系统是一个在Microsoft Windows 3.0下开发的交互式的汉英机器翻译系统,提供给用户一个友好的图形界面及包含正文编辑,系统维护和翻译程序的集成化环境,然而,WINCE系统在规模和处理能力上还有一些不足之处,对此本文也做了一些探讨。
AbstractThe main difficulties of a Chinese-English Machine Translation System lies in following aspects: the automatic separating of Chinese word, the building of Chinese grammar formalism, the method of syntax analysing and semantic analysing, and the generating of the translated text. After introducing the history of Machine Translation and current state of Chinese English Machine Translation researches, this paper concentrates on the environment, the design, language support and the implementation techniques of a Chinese English MT system---WINCE, CGDL is a grammar formalism of Chinese used by WINCE. it is a kind of Augmented Context--free Grammar (ACFG) with some capacity of word sense analysis and context sensitive analysis through condition deciding, semantic checking, property transmitting and transfering. Concerning the word separating method, WINCE differs from other MT system by combining the enumerating control with syntax analysis. When analysing starts or ends, word separating starts or ends too. Thus it can gain much higher accuracy. Another details in this paper is ambiguity analysing of original text. However, WINCE is an interactive MT system developed on Microsoft Windows 3.0. It provides the user a friendly graphics interface and an intergrated environment consisting of context editer, system service program and translation program. At last, this paper discusses the weakness of WINCE on its processing power and its process scale.
